The research in Language Engineering has come a long way from theories to models, from models to real world corpus and real world applications. Now it is the time to apply language and ontology engineering to the service industry. The International Symposium on Natural Language Processing (SNLP) has been firmly established and held biannually in Thailand since 1993. To recognize the trends in the service industry, this year SNLP will be held jointly with the Agriculture Ontology Service (AOS) conference, emphasizing on the theme of service research innovation. Paper topics expand widely from the fields of language engineering, ontology engineering, language sciences and services, knowledge sciences and knowledge services, service research innovation to applications utilized these research areas.
